Private Reserve
La Rinconada is a 497-hectare private reserve of native lenga and coigue forests located in the Aysen Region, General Carrera Province, Rio Ibañez Commune.
It has a refuge located between the ravines of the Montenegro stream, fully equipped for overnight stays and continuing the journey the next day.
In our reserve, you can enjoy bird watching, including cometocino, woodpeckers, chucaos, fio-fios, rayaditos, and pitios, to name a few. With a little luck, you may even be able to photograph huemules.
We are proud to have this native species, considered a symbol of Chile, as it is depicted alongside the Andean condor on our national coat of arms. Despite its high level of recognition, it is classified as an endangered species, with a global population of less than 1,500 individuals.
